The Program Director will serve as the initial advisor for all incoming students.  The Director will be responsible for working with each student to determine which courses a he or she is to take during the first year of the program.

By the end of the first semester, two advisors will be assigned to each student (with input from the student).  The advisors will serve as the student’s advisors until a Dissertation Committee is formed.  The advisors are not necessarily the readers for the QRPs.

By the end of the first year of study, a student will select a Dissertation/Guidance Committee.
