Rooms at Conference Venue
All conference activities of SLRF 2009 will be held at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center on the MSU campus in East Lansing, Michigan. Rooms are beautifully furnished and feature complimentary wireless Internet. The hotel offers three in-house dining options. In addition, attendees will find a variety of restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops and bars located within easy walking distance of campus. East Lansing area attractions including the ten-mile Lansing River Trail, the Wharton Center for Performing Arts, the MSU Museum, the Kresge Art Museum, and the Abrams Planetarium are also located within close proximity.
Rate
The special conference rate at the Kellogg is $89 per night for single or double rooms (plus applicable taxes). First come, first serve for reservations; the deadline for receiving the special rate is October 28th.

Complimentary Airport Shuttle Service
When you make your reservation, please inform the reservation agents whether you need shuttle transportation from the Lansing airport. Provide your flight number and arrival time, and they will pick you up. If you arrive with the Michigan Flyer (bus to and from Detroit airport) the Kellogg Shuttle will pick you up from downtown East Lansing. Before checkout, you can alert them to your departure time as well. This service is complimentary.
Parking
For those renting cars or driving to conference, a 1,000-space attached parking garage is available on a complimentary basis to hotel guests.

Rooms at nearby Marriott Residence Inn
The Marriott Residence Inn is located on the east edge of Michigan State University off of East Grand River Ave., and is within walking distance to a number of casual dining options. Though the Residence Inn is not within walking distance (1.77 miles) to the conference venue, attendees can take a local bus straight down Grand River Ave. to the Kellogg Center.
Rate
Studio suites are available at the special rate of $109 per night, and include a queen-size bed, sofa sleeeper couch and kitchen. The deadline for receiving the special rate is September 30th.
2 bedroom 2 bath penthouse suites are arranged in a lot style, and are available at $149 per night. These suites also include a full kitchen.

Transportation to Conference Venue
You will need the hotel to arrange a taxi for you, or use public transportation to the Kellogg Center. The Number 1 CATA bus will take you straight to Harrison Rd., off of Grand River Ave., where the Kellogg Center is located.
