Notification of Acceptance: July 1, 2009
Submission guidelines:
Proposals for papers, posters, and colloquia are welcome on all areas that contribute to second language research, including:
A first for SLRF, comprehensive syntheses, preferably in the form of meta-analysis, are also invited in these areas.
Please limit all abstracts to 300 words; the limit for proposal summaries is 50 words.
Paper Presentations:
Paper presentations will be 20 minutes long, followed by 10 minutes for discussion.
Poster Presentations:
Posters will be on display each day between 9:15am - 4:30pm. Poster presenters will be available to present and discuss their work during the two hour lunch break on Friday and Saturday.
Colloquia:
Colloquia are thematic collections of presentations organized by one or more individuals; they may be proposed for blocks of 2 hours.
Instructions for submission
All proposals will be submitted through the SLRF 2009 online submission system. To submit an abstract, please do the following:
- Click the 'Login' button at the bottom of the menu to the left
- If you have not created an account yet, click 'Not Registered yet?'
- Read the information pertaining to the type of proposal you plan to submit (e.g., presentation, poster)
- Click 'Click here' to create an account
- After you create an account, you will be directed to a page where you can login to submit your proposal. You will receive an automatic email with your username and password
- After selecting the option to submit a proposal, you will be provided with a form to enter the title, abstract, strand, etc. of your proposal
- Once your proposal is entered, you will receive another automatic email to confirm that your proposal has been received
- All presenters will be notified of acceptance/rejection of their proposal through email by July 1, 2009
