Inaugural Issue

On behalf of the editorial team, welcome to the inaugural issue of the Michigan State University Working Papers in Second Language Studies! This issue represents a first step in our effort to bring into the spotlight current, ongoing work of graduate students in the Second Language Studies Ph.D. and M.A. TESOL programs at MSU. This issue was a learning process in many ways, for all of us, from setting up the server software and figuring out how to make it work, to reviewing papers, proofreading papers, and designing the issue, as well as the content of the articles contained therein. What you see is the product of nearly one year of extensive planning and coordination by approximately 25 people who participated in this process. We hope that you will enjoy this first of many issues to come that showcase our work.
